The Farmer Family settled in the Athens area over 200 years ago. 
For generations they lived off the land as (actual) farmers, using just what they needed to sustain their families.Today, Leon Farmer & Company holds the same respect for the environment and communities in which we do business. In 2008 Leon Farmer, III launched an ambitious initiative called “Green Pastures”. The name honors his fore fathers’ love of the countryside and understanding that “we reap what we sow”. Green Pastures seeks to minimize our company’s energy costs while maximizing our sustainability.

The Athens facility is a 136,000 square foot warehouse on a 12 acre site. Built in 1988, it services Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Franklin, Greene, Habersham, Hart, Jackson, Jasper, Madison, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Putnam, Stephens, Walton, and Wilkes counties.

Our Gainesville facility, which has been in operation since 1983, services Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Hall, Lumpkin, Rabun, Towns, Union, and White counties.

Leon Farmer & Company warehouses are climate-controlled to maintain product quality before distribution. This is just one way in which the company strives to provide the freshest beverage products possible to our customers.

Visit our Tasting Room

Everyone's welcome (including dogs, kids and non-drinkers!) when we throw the doors open, but bring your ID - you must be 21 to taste.  Join us to sample both production beers and works in progress - there's always something fun going on, and we're pretty sure you'll make a friend or two while you're with us!
